Police have released an image of the motorcyclist involved in a hit-and-run in Rotorua on the weekend, which seriously injured a 24-year-old sight and hearing-impaired man.
A large police team are investigating the crash and are asking the rider, and anyone who might know them, to 'act on their conscience' and come forward.
Rotorua police say the motorcyclist overtook a stationary vehicle on Edmund Road on Sunday about 2.15pm.
The car was waiting for the victim to cross at a designated pedestrian crossing.
The victim was flown to Waikato Hospital where he remains in a critical condition; the motorcyclist fled the scene.
