A person has been freed by firefighters after becoming trapped following a crash between a bus and a car in South Auckland.
Fire and Emergency New Zealand said firefighters were called to Great South Rd in Ōtāhuhu just before 4pm on Tuesday.
Three fire trucks and a heavy rescue specialist truck attended the scene and were able to free the person, a spokesperson said.
St John said one person was being taken to hospital in a serious condition.
Police said the crash was causing traffic delays in the area.
By 5.30pm, Great South Road had re-opened in both directions.
