Arohatia te reo - cool to kōrero in Ōtautahi
Fush restaurant owner Anton Matthews has been speaking te reo Māori with his staff and customers in Ōtautahi (Christchurch) for some time. He has a menu in both English and Māori.
In May, Mr Matthews began teaching te reo Māori lessons at the restaurant. The first lesson attracted interest from 700 people.
When Guyon Espiner interviewed Mr Matthews, he decided to speak te reo Māori, and the kōrero flowed.
LISTEN: @GuyonEspiner & Anton Matthews have a kōrero in te reo Māori about hundreds turning up to his class in Ōtautahi.
