Miss Penny by KJ Hamilton
One of the winners of the New Shorts playwriting competition 2012.
Kirsty graduated as an actress from Toi Whakaari/NZ Drama School in 1992, played Juliet, Rosalind, Maria and other Shakespearean roles, Mouse in Roimata, Valerie in The Weir, Joan in Is, and Grace in the NZ feature Saving Grace. In 2007 she was the SGCNZ International Artistic fellow alongside Rawiri Paratene at Shakespeare's Globe theater in London. She graduated from European Act with the London Actors Center and RADA in 2009 and obtained her MA in script writing from the IIML in 2012. She is currently finding funding for two short films she has written, and continuing to develop her first feature script before going back to study directing for screen at the University of Auckland in 2014.
