Flor De Tolache are the Latin Grammy Award winning all-female mariachi ensemble who formed in New York City in 2008.
Mariachi is traditionally a male dominated genre, so it’s been no easy road for this band. However, their instrumental prowess and vocal harmonies have been their passport to winning over an international audience with their progressive and traditional mariachi repertoire combined with well-crafted original songs.
Their appearance on the Dell Stage on the closing Sunday of WOMAD 2020 was packed out with a hugely appreciative audience.
