And now at the 2022 Whakatipu Music Festival in Queenstown we have a clarinettist. The festival gives a platform to younger performers who are at the start of their professional careers. Stefenie Pickson recently finished her studies at the University of Waikato.
She starts her recital with a solo piece for clarinet by Elliott Carter called Gra. It was written in 1993 as a tribute to Witold Lutoslawski.
