Conductor Ian Ridgewell has a soft spot for classical works that aren't as widely known as they should be.
He's including some of these pieces - Howard Hansen's 'Symphony No 2' and 'Caucasian Sketches Suite No 1' by Mikhail Ippolitov-Ivanov - in upcoming concerts with Hutt Valley Orchestra and Wellington City Orchestra.
Ian explained to Bryan Crump what draws him to these and other lesser known works.
