It’s one of the biggest events on the European, some would argue the global music calendar: the finals of the Eurovision Song Quest.

Three to Seven host Bryan Crump has held a long-time fascination for the annual competition to find Europe’s best song, so when he heard Katie Chalmers, a founding member of the Wellington choir Note Bene, was going to be at one of semi-finals in Liverpool, he jumped at the chance to interview her.

Turns out demand for tickets is so high, Katie could only get into a ‘preview’ show of the first semi-final, but that was enough to give her an idea of the massive scale of the event.

Bryan spoke to Katie about Eurovision and a few other big events going on in the UK (the coronation of King Charles III).

Katie began by telling Bryan the host nation for Eurovision 2023 was supposed to be Ukraine, but war got in the way.
