Sometimes sonic solace is just a few footsteps away. RNZ Concert host Bryan Crump didn't have to go far to find some soothing sounds for this week's Moment of Calm recording.
There's a bit of wind in the trees, kaka, riroriro warbling (not much longer until the cuckoo arrive to lay eggs in their nests) tui, a bumble bee escaping a spider web, a bit of piwakawaka (fantail) a distant plane, and even the sound of someone preparing lunch, all in the space of a couple of minutes.
If your sound environment is a little fraught at the moment, why not take time out to listen to ours?
