Sounds of the Sanctuary, the flagship programme in the New Zealand String Quartet's 2024 season, makes its way to Brook Waimārama Sanctuary on 28 October as part of the Nelson Arts Festival.
The quartet's violist and founding member Gillian Ansell talks with RNZ Concert's Andrew Clark about the programme, which evokes the beauty of nature and birdsong and includes music by Gareth Farr, Gillian Whitehead, Joseph Haydn and Antonin Dvořák.
