Competitors for the 2017 Michael Hill International Violin Competition have been announced. 140 entries have been whittled down to just 16, with competitors from NZ, Canada, Romania, USA, South Korea, Japan, Germany and Kazakhstan through to the quarter-finals in Queenstown next June. Competition Executive Director, Anne Rodda explains how the competitors were selected.
