The internationally acclaimed Netherlands Chamber Choir is in New Zealand – for the first time in its 80-year history – to perform in the 2020 Festival of the Arts.
In 2017, the Choir initiated the 150 Psalms project, with four choirs performing 150 psalms from the Old Testament written by 150 composers. In the second of two concerts in the Festival, the choir presents a selection of these psalms which includes one by New Zealand composer Helen Bowater.
David Morriss caught up with the choir's director, Peter Dijkstra, and New Zealander Lauren Armishaw, one of the choir’s members, ahead of their concerts.
