Peter Gjelsten plays Tchaikovsky

Young Wellington violinist Peter Gjelsten is on a bit of a winning streak.

He was part of the winning ensemble, Ravelation, in last year’s NZ Community Trust Chamber Music Contest, and this year he’s won not one but two concerto competitions.

Upbeat’s David Morriss caught up with Peter a couple of days ago to find out how his preparation was going for this weekend's concerts, where he's soloist in the Tchaikovsky Violin Concerto with the New Zealand School of Music Orchestra, and then with the Wellington Youth Orchestra.
