A long-serving MP in Wallis and Futuna has died.
Benjamin Brial, who was 81, had been a member of the first territorial assembly for more than twenty years.
Benjamin Brial campaigned during a referendum in 1959 for keeping the territory as part of France.
Mr Brial was decorated for fighting with the Free French forces in the Second World War.
