The Cook Islands Deputy Prime Minister Sir Terepai Maoate has said the passing of the New Zealand entertainer, Sir Howard Morrison, will be felt with deep sadness by the Cook Islands people.
Sir Howard died at the age of 74.
Sir Terepai says he was a friend and adopted son of the Cook Islands.
He says Sir Howard was a rangatira in every sense of the word, a son of Polynesia whose friendship, gift of entertaining and showmanship all will miss very much.
