A Vanuatu MP attending a workshop in Australia has died.
The Australian High Commission office in Port Vila says Ture Cailo died suddenly in Canberra this morning.
The cause of death is not yet known.
Vanuatu's minister of foreign affairs, Joe Natuman says he only knows that Mr Cailo suffered from asthma.
Negotiations are underway for the repatriation of Ture Cailo's body to Vanuatu.
Mr Cailo had been invited by the government of Australia to attend a workshop on democracy with other MPs from the region.
