Samoa A coach Brian Lima is expecting a well-structured opponent in Friday night's Pacific Rugby Cup opener against the Brumby Runners in Canberra.
The Samoans prevailed 30-24 in the corresponding fixture last year and Lima says the Brumbies have a unique style of play.
"We watched their top team and we expect the same pattern and the same way they play. The last few years they've played a different pattern from every other Super 15 team so we prepare well against this team. They're going to play a lot of different patterns when we play on Friday."
The Fiji Warriors begin their title defence on Friday against the Junior Waratahs in Sydney, while Tonga A take on the Reds College XV in Brisbane.
