Tonga's supreme court has jailed a suspended policeman for importing a controlled substance used to produce drugs.
Matangi Tonga says Valeliano Manu was given a five-year sentence along with two foreigners, Chinchiu Liu and ShiQing Lin.
They were found to have for imported more than two kilos of pseudoephedrine.
A fourth man, Xiu Ming Lin, was jailed for 10 months for possession of the substance.
