The French Polynesian government has shortlisted three companies for its planned huge tourism development on Tahiti.
The Mahana Beach project is the government's flagship progamme to boost investment and employment.
The planned complex near Punaauia is to include hotels and a casino.
The bids being considered are from the American company, Group 70 International, Forbase Group of China and the French AS Architecture Group.
The selection process is to be finalised by May or June.
