if they're to topple Fiji in the Oceania Junior Trophy decider.
The traditional rivals set up a winner-takes-all clash this weekend in Suva.
Fiji thumped Melanesian rivals Vanuatu 109-6 to make it two wins from two, while Tonga remained unbeaten with an emphatic 55-16 victory over Papua New Guinea.
Tonga's Assistant Coach Ofa Topeni says their players did everything asked of them yesterday but need to step it up against the hosts.
"Both backs and forwards - work hard on that. Fiji was really really good on ball skills - particularly the backs. We need to improve the backs' defence and everything on the backs' line-speed, line defence, the communication on defence - we have to work hard on this one".
The winning team will join Samoa in qualifying for next year's second tier Junior World Trophy tournament in Zimbabwe.
