Accusations of continuing and escalating human rights violations have been levelled at the United States by the Kingdom of Hawaii at the UN Human Rights Commission in Geneva.
The delegation reiterated to the UN council their rejection of the United States claim to the Hawaiian Islands and outlined a series of human rights violations they said were being committed by the US.

One of the main allegations was that Officials from the State of Hawaii with the US department of the Interior and the Obama Administration were attempting to confer "federal recognition" of "Native Hawaiians" as a tribal nation of the United States.
The delegation described this as akin to creating a false Native American tribe which they said constituted the latest attempt in hijacking the national identity of Hawaiian.
Other allegations related to the stripping of land titles from Hawaiian heirs, ongoing disputes over a project to build the world's largest telescope on mount Mauna Kea, and allowing multinational companies to conduct unregulated experiments and grow genetically engineered crops for world-wide export.
The Kingdom of Hawaii delegates also called on the Human Rights Council and other UN bodies and agencies to come to the aid of the peace-loving Hawaiian people who sought to exercise their right to self-determination and freedom from the United States.
