Fiji's 1.6 billion US dollar budget has been passed in parliament.
The FBC reports after more than four days of debate the 2016/2017 national budget was passed overnight.
31 MPs voted in favour, 14 against the bill and there were five no votes.
It will intiate a new financial year from August.
Prime Minister Frank Bainimarama earlier said the new budget was strong, fair, inclusive and one that included unprecedented consultation.
Mr Bainimarama said the budget made a bold statement to the world of where Fiji stood today, and where it intended to go.
