A delegation from New Caledonia has arrived in New Zealand to discuss aligning standards and qualifications for the construction sector.
The trip follows an agreement signed between their respective governments last year, and is aimed at boosting trade.
They both have different systems of standards for construction and trade-training.
But in a statement, the French embassy says they hope to harmonise them, in an effort to make it easier to trade, and for construction companies to take up projects in each place.
