A series of strikes in French Polynesia is continuing.

A strike by Tahiti-based cabin staff of Air France has entered its third week with no resolution in sight.

While talks have continued, Air France has leased a Portuguese Airbus to maintain its service between Tahiti and Los Angeles.

A strike at La Depeche has stopped the newspaper's print edition for a second day.

Printing staff are on strike over fears their jobs will be cut once the printing contract goes to a rival company.

Also for a second day there has been disruption to the delivery of school lunches in the Papeete area as the central kitchen is on strike.

Yesterday there was reportedly only one driver to distribute meals which are usually made for 5,000 people.
