Members of the NGO Kiribati Citizens Against Corruption are demanding an explanation from the government as to why they are not included in its national anti-corruption body.
Co-founder Ngatau Neneia said the government is aware of his organisation, but instead invited NGOs advocating on issues other than anti-corruption.
Mr Neneia said his NGO promotes awareness of corruption and had so far exposed a number of corrupt practices through social media.
He said the government's anti-corruption body was meant to implement the national strategy for fighting corruption.
The government had yet to respond to his concerns.
