As it does each year the National Park of American Samoa is sending a crew of forest fire-fighters to help put out fires in California.
17 firemen leave next Tuesday for Redding in California on a 30 day assignment.
About ten of the forest fire-fighters have been on previous assignment fire fighting assignments in California.
All have been certified for the task after undergoing rigourous training from the Fire Management Officer at the Hawaii Volcanoes National Park, Greg Thunderburk, back in Apirl.
