Papua New Guinea rugby league internationals Ase and Watson Boas have signed for English second tier club Featherstone Rovers.
The brothers were key figures in the PNG Hunters' Intrust Super Cup winning team last season and also teamed up in the halves during the Kumuls run to the World Cup quarter finals.
The 29 year old Ase Boas debuted for the PNG Hunters in 2015 and won the Courier Mail Medal for best and fairest in their successful 2017 campaign, while 23 year old Watson Boas has played for the Port Moresby-based club since 2016.
Featherstone Rovers general manager Davide Longo said the Boas brothers "are two hugely talented players who have experience of winning and playing at an elite level."
"We knew supporters were excited by the news that players from the World Cup had joined the club, but knew the quality of these players would take that to another level," he said.
The duo, who were also part of PNG's gold medal winning rugby league nines team at the 2015 Pacific Games, are scheduled to link up with their new teammates in the UK in January.
