Despite the impact of two recent typhoons, the Northern Marianas Governor Ralph Torres says the territory's tourist markets are once again open for business.
He said the islands are again able to host tourists, especially with the resumption of nighttime flights at the Saipan International Airport as of last Tuesday.
Hong Kong Express resumed flights today and other carriers are expected to follow.
Sichuan Airlines will resume its flights from Guangzhou and Shanghai starting on November 26 and 28, while Jeju Air returns with its daily trips from Seoul beginning November 27, the same day China Eastern restarts from China.
Hong Kong Airlines and Asiana Airlines are expected to resume flights on Nov. 29 on Dec. 2, respectively, while T'Way suspended its flights until April next year.
The CNMI's tourism industry was the hardest hit by Super Typhoon Yutu last month and Typhoon Mangkhut in September.
