Papua New Guinea police are arresting people in Bougainville for brewing and selling of homebrew and possession of other illicit drugs.
New Dawn FM reported the Bougainville Community Auxiliary Police Sergeant, Lesley Meten, sounded the warning last week.
He said many communities have worked with the police to remove gas bottles used for brewing homebrew and also uprooted marijuana plants to create a conducive environment for peace to take place.
Sergeant Meten said police have started arresting people making homebrew and will raid places that have been identified as suppliers.
