A Fiji Airways flight from Nadi to Auckland last night was forced to return shortly after take-off following mechanical issues with the aircraft.

An airline spokesperson says the flight crew returned the aircraft to Nadi "in the interest of safety".
Passengers are being put on other Fiji Airways' flights to Auckland today.
