Fiji is the latest country to join Australia's Pacific Labour Scheme.

Fijian workers can now work in rural or regional Australia for up to three years.

The scheme was launched to help address labour shortages in remote areas, and has been taken up by nine Pacific countries.

The foreign minister, Marise Payne, says she's pleased more Fijian workers will have access to work and training in Australia.
