The Pacific Islands Forum has sent an observer team to this Saturday's general election in Nauru.
The team, comprised of a government official from the Cook Islands and one from Solomon Islands, is supported by staff from the forum secretariat.
Forum election observer missions are carried out under the Biketawa Declaration and seek to act as an independent source of analysis on the conduct and integrity of the poll.
In addition, a team of monitors from the Commonwealth Secretariat will be in Nauru while the diplomatic community on Nauru also observes the vote.
