Vanuatu's Minister for Trade, Tourism, Industry and ni Vanuatu Business, Jotham Napat, has banned all staff from travelling overseas unless he has approved it.
The minister, who is also the deputy prime minister, told his staff he was not happy because he had asked one staffer not to travel to Samoa because it was not relevant to his job, but the man went anyway.
There had been similar unjustifiable travel and the minister said it was a waste of government funds.
