Solomon Islands' Prime Minister Manasseh Sogavare has held high-level talks in China during the first ever official visit to the country by his office.
Mr Sogavare has so far met with government officials and the chairs of two major state-owned enterprises in Beijing.
The prime minister also laid a wreath at the Tiananmen Square monument.
Last month, the Solomons controversially switched its diplomatic recognition to Beijing, ending a long association with Taiwan.
A release from Mr Sogavare's office said he was scheduled to meet Chinese President Xi Jinping and sign several agreements, including education, economics and technical cooperation and foreign affairs.
