The Papua New Guinea Electoral Commissioner, Patilias Gamato, has been granted bail after being arrested on corruption charges.

Local media report Mr Gamato was arrested following fraud investigations dating back to the 2017 general election.
The charges include counts of official corruption, money laundering and conspiracy.
