Fiji is marking World Tsunami Awareness Day today with a tsunami drill in the Vatuwaqa area of Suva.
The National Disaster Management Office said four primary schools would take part in the drill at 2pm, when all tsunami sirens will be activated.
Police will assist about 1700 students with their practice evacuation.
Members of the public and the business community within the area are advised not to be alarmed.
