The Cook Islands police service is advertising for a new commander to replace Ma'ara Tetava, who's held the role for 11 years.
The tenure for the police commissioner was normally five years, but Mr Tetava's role was extended on several occasions.
Cook Islands News reported other high profile positions that are becoming vacant include that of the Public Service Commissioner, replacing Russell Thomas, who has been in that role since 2012.
And the chief executive of the electricity utility company, Te Aponga Uira, Apii Timoti, is leaving a position he has held for nearly 20 years.
Meanwhile the Economic Planning Division at the Ministry of Finance and Economic Management has begun the process of recruiting to replace director Natalie Cooke, who led the economic response to Covid-19.
