Fiji has a new case of Covid-19 in border quarantine.
The Health Ministry says the 57-year-old man arrived in the country on a repatriation flight from Kenya on 24 October.
The ministry says the flight from Nairobi also stopped in Dubai, Kuala Lumpur and Auckland enroute to Nadi Airport.
The ministry says as with all prior border quarantine cases, the man is under strict border quarantine conditions including a compulsory 14-day quarantine at a government-designated facility supervised by the military.
In a statement, the ministry said the man had not displayed any symptoms since his arrival in Fiji.
It said the entry test was conducted on day two of his quarantine and this was part of the ministry's standard border procedure.
The man is in stable condition at the Lautoka Hospital, the ministry said.
It said the frontline border and quarantine staff who were directly involved with the patient would be monitored and tested.
Fiji had 34 Covid-19 cases and this new case is the only one that is active.
