Niue
The Niue Government has announced community transmission of Covid-19.
The announcements follows a spike in cases.
Seven cases have been recorded in the reporting period to November 28 local time, and four of these have been labelled as community transmission.
A government spokesperson said efforts to identify primary sources of infection for cases under investigation have ceased.
It said clusters of infection are popping up in households.
There are 25 active cases.
In total there have been 124 cases since Covid-19 arrived at the border in March this year.
Tuvalu
Nine people with Covid-19 are in hospital, and one person is in a severe to critical condition.
In a statement, a government spokesperson said four new cases have been recorded in the 48 hour reporting period to November 28th, local time.
2,646 cases have been recorded in total since a community outbreak was announced on November 3.
The World Health Organisation has also carried out a Covid-19 survey in all villages on Funafuti, with the support of Tuvalu Red Cross volunteers.
In a statement, a government spokesperson said the aim is to gain insight into general knowledge regarding the virus as well as ways the government can better disseminate information to the public.
French Polynesia
The incidence of Covid-19 in French Polynesia has more than doubled over the weekend, with 226 active cases now being reported.
The latest figures show another 86 infections were recorded in the latest 72-hour reporting period as a new wave of the pandemic is gaining pace.
However, the number of Covid-19 patients in hospital has dropped to two.
There have been calls for people to update their vaccination status as only 22 percent of those over 60 have had a booster.
Last year when the territory was hit by an outbreak of the Delta variant, more than 600 people died, of whom more than 94 percent had not been vaccinated.
American Samoa
The only main hospital in American Samoa has reinstated mask-wearing rules after a slight increase in respiratory cases.
In a statement, the LBJ Medical Center's chief executive officer, Moefa'auo Bill Emmsley said this came after careful monitoring of data for daily and cumulative admissions at the LBJ Medical Center.
It is also in support of precautionary measures for preventing the spread of a 'triple-demic' of flu, RSV and Covid-19.
He also reinstated social distancing protocols inside the hospital.
Meanwhile, the American Samoa Health Department's latest Covid-19 Situational Report, for November 14 to November 20, shows that of 44 people tested at the Health Department laboratory and LBJ Medical Center, only person came back positive.
