Tiana began her journey in jounalism at the age of 14 when she wrote a weekly column in the Cook Islands Herald, writing about life in the remote outer islands. After moving to mainland Rarotonga upon graduating, she began work at the national station, Cook Islands Television where I was the news director, anchor and editor for six years, reporting on anything and everything for CITV Local News.

She is now a journalist for RNZ Pacific, Tiana enjoys getting to go out and connect with Pasifika communities across Aotearoa and document their stories.

Tiana says she loves connecting with Pasifika communities in Aotearoa and getting to see how they practise and preserve their cultural heritage while living away from the homeland.

Tiana is passionate about Cook Islands dancing and loves performing and sharing her love for her culture with others. She has previously produced numerous short films for work and in her own time, most revolving around indigenous people and practices in the Cook Islands.
