A Papua New Guinea lawyer representing Manus Island refugees wants the chief justice disqualified from hearing their case.
Ben Lomai is seeking compensation for his clients' unlawful detention and an order they be resettled in a third country.

He told Ben Robinson Drawbridge they've applied for the case to be dismissed on the basis that Dr Lomai has not been authorised by his clients.
