At least two people have been taken to hospital on Tinian as reports emerge in the wake of Super Typhoon Yutu which devastated the Northern Marianas overnight.
The category 5 storm passed directly over Tinian packing winds of over 350 kilometres an hour leaving a trail of a destruction in its wake as it moved to the west of the islands.
Our correspondent in the CNMI Mark Rabago weathered the storm on nearby Saipan and says it was the scariest night of his life.
He told Koroi Hawkins the winds were so strong they ripped the boards off the windows on his house.
