Tuvaluan policewoman leads multinational maritime exercise

A senior constable from Tuvalu is the first female chief of staff to have led an operation combatting illegal fishing in the Pacific.

Operation Kurukuru 2018 was a joint fisheries and maritime exercise by  several Pacific Forum Fisheries Agency nations.

Senior Constable Sepola Niulakita spoke to Jenny Meyer about the exercise that ran over the first two weeks of October and covered 21 million square kilometres.
