The deputy prime minister of the Cook Islands is rejecting claims by the opposition that the Atiu MP Te-Hani Brown was wooed to the government benches by promises of infrastructural investment.
The Tengatangi-Areora-Ngatiarua candidate won back her seat after a by-election was forced when she crossed the floor.
The government now has a parliamentary majority.
