The head of the United Nations Population Fund is calling for sexual and reproductive health to be given more priority and funding in the Pacific and around the world; the threat of the Coconut Rhinoceros Beetle has intensified in Solomon Islands with the potential to destroy up to half of the country's crops; there is a growing push in the Cook Islands to ensure the country doesn't experience drug problems to the extent of neighbouring Pacific states; staff from New Zealand's Otago Museum will take their message on the climate crisis to the Pacific - starting with a visit to Tonga next week, Fiji next month and Samoa in September, and; New Zealand's headline event on the Pacific cultural calendar got underway in Auckland this week.
