Vanuatu based journalist Ben Bohane has won the inaugural grant aimed at encouraging more Pacific news stories in the Australian media.
Well known former Pacific journalist Sean Dorney has given his name to the grant of $AU10,000 which is provided by the Walkley Foundation, which focusses on promoting quality journalism in Australia.
Don Wiseman asked Mr Bohane how he will spend the grant.
