Solomon Islands Chamber of Commerce is delighted at the success of a campaign to reduce gender violence.
Working with the IFC, a member of the World Bank group, a number of businesses focussed on the impact gender violence has on the workplace.
An assessment shows more than 6,500 employees working for the country's biggest companies now have more equal, supportive and respectful workplaces.
It's the product of a two-year programme promoting gender equality, called the 'Waka Mere Commitment to Action'
The effect of it has been a marked rise in the numbers who feel safe at work.
The chief executive of the Chamber, Atenasi Ata, told Don Wiseman how they managed to get businesses onboard.
