The head of the Solomon Islands delegation attending COP26 in Glasgow, says he is confident of the united front Pacific Islands countries will be presenting.
The UN climate negotiations, which officially kick off next week represent the largest global platform for climate change related issues.
This year Pacific countries are pushing for industrialised nations to honour their climate finance promises and commit to radically reduce their carbon emissions.
Chanel Iroi, the deputy secretary of Solomon islands climate and environment ministry says COP is the culmination of months and months of hardwork behind the scenes and he is confident the Pacific will not be standing alone in Glasgow.
