The governor of the Northern Marianas, Ralph Torres, says he is resigned to being impeached by the House of Representatives.
Mr Torres says with 13 representatives already having signed the impeachment resolution only one more is needed to get it to pass.
The House Judiciary and Governmental Operations Committee chair Celina Babauta introduced the resolution impeaching Mr Torres for alleged commission of felonies, corruption, and neglect of duty.
