The largest known cave roost discovery of Pacific sheath-tailed bats has been found in Fiji.
Thousands of endangered bats were found on the remote Vanua Balavu island by a team from Conservation International in Fiji, in partnership with the Australian Museum and the University of Adelaide.
Isaac Round, terrestrial protected area manager with Conservation International in Fiji, told RNZ Pacific's Caleb Fotheringham about the exciting discovery.
